Air Force Is Desperately Looking For People To Adopt Some Of The Retired Military Working Dogs


Hey friends, I know this won't apply to most of you, but some of you might know folks close to Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX who may be looking to adopt a dog. If so, could you pass along? Or maybe share with a friend? These dogs have served our country and deserve a nice family to retire to in their senior years. Thanks!!!

Yes it would. I truly would think that it would be near impossible to get one.

I've been thinking about this every since Kristin posted it.   We're dog poor right now, but when the time comes we should get one.  We're about 35 miles from Lackland and I have experience as a law enforcement canine handler, so I have no excuse not to.  Plus I miss my canine partner sometimes.  Thankfully, she wasn't a psycho like a lot of Malinois are.  I spent more time with her than I did my wife and daughter for several years.
