Thank you for that article.  I gave it a quick glance and will give it a full read tonight.  That music history is what I am going to be discovering while there including the Bessie Smith Center.  I've already been to the "hospital" where she died in Clarksdale, MS and I have been to Florence, AL to see some WC Handy sites too.  This trip is wrapping all of that together with the history of Jimmie Rodgers from Meridian, MS who was a blues and country musician.

I'm not a nature kinda guy

Most of US 441(the road connecting Gatlinburg and Cherokee, NC) has been closed half of the year due to snow and ice, and the road to Cades Cove is down until March 1 for repairs. Not a good time to visit the park, if one was so inclined.

If you are going home I-81, you are about 90 minutes from us.  You are more then welcome to come stay the night if you decide it is to much to do in one day.  We are about 5 hours from Bristol.  At Stanton, you would take I-64 west to VA 3 out of Charlottesville and then you are about 50 miles away.

Is it easier for you to get to Charlottesville or Harrisonburg and about how far away are you from there?

Charlottesville is closer then Harrisonburg!  About 55 miles to Charlottsville.

I was thinking of heading to one of the Crutchfield stores an undecided on doing it on the way down or the way home.

Looks like I may be in for a change of plans due to the coronavirus.  My friends who we were going to stay with have had their trip to Israel cancelled due to the new policy in Israel announced today where all entrants into the country have to have self quaratine for 14 days which effectively would be them going to Israel to stay in a hotel for two weeks.

So, I think I am now going to go from their house to Nashville, and then back to Knoxville and Bristol on my way home.  In effect, moving my formerly planned trip to Nashville in May up by two months.  Now I will have time in May to do something else.

The downside is that I will now be driving home from Bristol and not have a day to meet up with the Pellet Fan owners.

I have decided not to go on this trip.  I may revisit it the last week of May.  Looks like I will be working on pellet grill maintenance while on vacation.

I have vacation scheduled during that time which is why it may work for me.  Hopefully, bars and restaurants may be open even if museums may not at that time.  At least I can then get something to eat and drink while doing the outdoor siteseeing on my schedule.  If not, there will be another time.  I have all of the research completed on what I want to see and where it is at so I am ready when the time comes.
