Smoked, Pulled Chuck Roast

Made smoked, pulled beef chuck roast! It is so incredibly good! Coated it with mayo and then sprinkled it with “apple rub†a bulk rub from WINCO. Smoked it in our little GMG Davy Crockett pellet grill at 225 deg until it reached an internal temp of 170. This took about 8 hours. I used Bear Mountain Pecan pellets.
I then wrapped it in foil with a half a cup of liquid (in this case a 50/50 mix of Worcestershire sauce and water) and cooked it in the oven at 225 deg for 2 hours. Took out of the oven and pulled it all apart!
Made sandwiches for lunch using Franz Keto hamburger buns.

Looks great, I've never attempted to do pulled chuck but now I'm going to give it a try, thanks for the post.

All of the chuck roast that I currently have on hand are already cooked. As soon as they go on sale again, I'll grab a few and give it a try.

Looks good, I have not had this in a while! However, now that winter seems to be headed this way, that would pair up nicely with a nice bowl of soup.
