A New Foal
« on: March 05, 2021, 10:19:06 AM »

With all of the negativity that we see and hear in our world today especially with the pandemic there is still a lot of beauty and pleasure to be seen around us.  Yesterday Claire, our Granddaughter, Teagan and I went to Assateaque Island, a true National treasure on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and had the good fortune to ess a new foal tat was born about 15 to 16 hours early.  Needless to say Teagan and I took a bunch of Pictures.  Please enjoy.

You are very lucky to be able to enjoy some of the great pleasure that we all take for granted.
Thanks for sharing.

Not to diminish the beauty of what they witnessed, but I am sure you have plenty of things where you live that those of us outside of your area don't get to see frequently (or ever) either.

Chincoteague pony's?

These ponies are on the Maryland side of the Island.  In fact there is a fence that divides the island so the ponies do not intermingle.  The reason is the Chincoteaque ponies are raised by the local volunteer fire department and are sold to raise funds.  The Assateaque ponies are basically left to live a very natural free reign life as the are only monitored and receive very little medical care.
