First attemp at rib sandwiches.
« on: October 11, 2021, 07:30:41 PM »

So I’ve seen this done online a few ways. Will add more pics as we go. Removed membrane and trimmed a bit.back side has salt lick/garlic&h Honey hog. Front side has holy gospel. Spritzed every hour with cranberry red wine vinegar. Then placed meat side down in butter, brown sugar, and A-1 mixed with honey and garlic. 3 hours at 260, then 2 more wrapped at 300.

I did this once!  Are you going to remove the bones and try and keep the rack whole for the sandwich?  Put it on a large French Loaf?

Yes I removed the bones. Don’t know what the McRib recipe is, but McRibs are nasty so probably not. I put spicey pickles, and purple onion with sweet vidalia onion bbq on one, pepper Jack pickle purple onion, and a whiskey bbq sauce on the other.

Sandwiches looked great.  What kind of roll did you use?
