As you may know i recently went on a plant based diet. But I suppose it’s OK to fall off the wagon once a month. Had daughters and their families over last weekend to celebrate my birthday (#68) and decided to serve Tri Tip.

The one on the left was $5.99 at Albertsons. Two on the right were $6.39 from Costco

Shot during slicing for sandwiches

Would dip the slices into that juice. HUGE flavor enhancer.

Really love the flavor profile of the grilled Tri Tip. Fast becoming my favorite cut of meat. Not as tender as a NY or Rib Eye but the price is more in line.

That's a great cook.
A plant-based diet doesn't appeal to me. I can manage cutting back. It would be something like, "I'll just do it until I need glasses."

Looks fantastic, we haven’t done tri tip in several years, very hard to find. We used to get them in California and they were prevelant, although called Santa Maria roasts. Loved them hot and fast.
