John Madden - RIP
« on: December 29, 2021, 10:50:16 AM »

John Madden died yesterday at age 85.

Wife and I were just starting to watch the "All Madden" special last night that we had DVR'ed on the weekend when my son send me a text with the sad news.
Loved his "Coaches Clicker".

He will be missed.

I have not always been a Madden fan. But I was when he coached the Raiders.

Hahahahaha  - Just the opposite - I didn't like him then because I didn't like the Raiders, but liked him as an announcer and in the commercials.

Horrible sad. My Father had season tickets for years growing up in the bay area.
I remember “the mad stork Ted Hendricks, Lester Hayes ( The judge or Lester the molester and his “stick-um”) Matt Millen, the Snake, Dave Casper, Phil Villapiano, Cliff Branch, Geotge Atkinson, Rod Martin, Fred Biletnikoff, Gene Upshaw, Art Shell, Jim Plunkett and on and on.
All Madden is a terrific show. Thank the Lord he got to see it.
Those were the days, they really were and I miss them.

Matt Millen grew up near me and I believe still keeps his home around here.
