Early 80th Brthday Celebration
« on: August 16, 2024, 08:44:36 AM »

Claire and I began an early celebration for my 80th birthday with a 2 inch Prime porterhouse steak. It was first seared for about 2 minutes per side then SV at 130 for 2 hours. It was seared a second time before serving. It was served with broccoli and a Hasselback roasted potato. Served with a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Robert Craig Winery in Napa.

That's one good looking meal.  Shouldn't have to have waited 80 years for such a mouth watering experience. Happy 80th!

My thanks to all for the birthday wishes.  The next big event will be the Disney cruise with my family and grandchildren to actually take place on my birthday.

Happy 80th!  Enjoy the Disney trip with the family.  Swap out the broccoli for green beans and you have my favorite meal.

Happy 80th birthday. My birthday is next Tuesday. Starting on Monday I'll be in the NW for a week and probably cerebrate my 88th at my brothers-in-law's.
