I have been working this week with an organization called Christ in Action. I guess there mission is to help the under served area of cities when disasters strike. As an example, they were in Kentucky last Dec-Feb to help with the Tornado damage. They go on deployments like that when needed. The have a smaller facility in Gulf part of Alabama, but the main head quarters for there logistics are here in Culpeper, who knew.
Current project is to put in a ramp large enough to cover two bays, so they can drive the semi tractors in to the warehouse when service is needed. Folks come from all over the Eastern Seaboard to help. Two couples were from Pennsylvania, and a couple of the guys helping today were from Sarasota, FL. The guy with the concrete work is in from Wisconsin. And then there are a few folks that are local and others just an hour or so away!
Today was dismantle the wall forms, stack them back up to go back to rental company and poor the concrete. Very interesting, as I had never seen a ramp done before. I am pretty much a Gofor, but that works for me and my skill set in these situations!
Man could I have used these forms for my bunker silo pour!
