Getting bacon ready to chop up for tomorrow to be liberally applied to baked potato

Baked on my Pro at 300 until crispy.
Daughter and family moving to TN so doing a send-off Surf N Turf cook for them tomorrow.
NY Strip along with the usual suspects.

BBQ/Oven/Pit cooked bacon, nothing better. Renders better, does not curl and had so many applications!

Sadly I have never done bacon that way. I'll have to give it a go. Nice pics BTW.

I don't think I have done it like that. I probably only baked it once or twice.
Will do microwave if in a hurry and not doing much. Usually anymore it is don eon the griddle.
Maybe I will give this a try this summer when I get the pellet cookers out and in use. Closest I have come is the bacon wrapped jalapenos on the little GMG.

I can't believe I missed this thread. Aside from turkey legs, simple thick cut bacon (I don't go as high as 300) rendered perfectly on the pellet grill has to be the item that gets the most positive comments from guests.

It's interesting. I will wrap things in bacon and cook on the pellet grill, but don't think I have ever really just cooked bacon on it by itself. I would typically cook bacon on my blackstone if I am cooking outside.

I've never done bacon on the grill either.
We usually use the CampChef griddle, and on a rare occasion in pan in kitchen.
Nice to keep the grease splatter outside.

The bacon was crunched up and used as topping for the baked potatoes!
