You may be able to get a med rare burger at an Applebee's or some place like that, but forget ever getting anything other than well done at a fast food restaurant since the e coli issues 30+ years ago. When I was at Wendy's in the early 90s, there was a lady that wanted her burger med rare, and we would make it for her that way. When they had those deaths at Jack-in-the-Box, corporate said no more.
