Holiday internet deviled eggs
« on: December 03, 2024, 12:46:02 PM »

My cousins sent one of those reels videos --- so cute!  We have a Christmas tea at church in a couple weeks so I am going to make.  The egg yolks are mixed with avocado and mayo and piped into eggs in a tree spiral.  The red and yellow ornaments are bell peepers and the snow is potato flakes.

I think it would work OK in a cupcake transport container if one was very careful......... :2cents:

I have a deviled egg dish that holds an egg in a little dip/compartment all by itself.  But I have also taken half pans and put paper towels down and an egg on the towel so they don't slip and the sides are tall enough to protect the eggs.

Can you gather everything required to assemble them, go to the church early and do it in the church kitchen?

I maybe could, but I am also part of the committee that is setting up for the tea so don't know how much time I will have, especially given the decorating of each egg.

Also, this tea is a bit different.  Everyone who wants to brings their nativity set and sets it up.  We also ask that you maybe do a little history on your nativity set.  Some are very elaborate (the pastor has a set that is the whole village of Bethlehem and takes up two long tables), some (like mine) are very modest but have great sentimental value, some are from foreign lands, some are over 40 years old and the notes will state that it was purchased during the couples first year of marriage, etc. So I need time to unpack and set up my nativity. I attach a few photos from last year..  We call it our "Nativitea" -- aren't we clever! LOL
