We were there about 20 years ago and it was just a small white house sitting by itself...things must have changed a lot!

The campus they have at his birthplace and home was pretty neat even without the museum exhibit being open.  The driving tour around town to sites of his childhood before he went to Memphis was pretty cool too.

They have the house, the church, an outhouse, a new chapel that is attached to the museum, and several statues amongst a few other things.

Here are some pictures of the Birthplace of Elvis campus.

His birthplace home

His childhood church

There is a pond, an old Plymouth, and several historical markers (State, Mississippi Blues Trail, Mississippi Country Music Trail, etc.)

Thanks so much for this!  This was it when we were there and I think the Outhouse is a little "Hollywood" as it was not there 20 years ago!

Here are some pictures of the Birthplace of Elvis campus.

Did they have these plaques around town at 10-12 places back when you were there?  The plaques represent certain important events or places in his life in Tupelo.  And did they have these painted, themed guitars all over town then too?

Tupelo Hardware store where he bought his first guitar

Homecoming statue replicating a picture taken of him reaching his hand out to those in the front row during his concert he played in Tupelo.

Good thing I did a lot of research before I went there as the visitors center is not open on weekends for some silly reason.  The visitors center is supposed to have a map of where to find all of this stuff.  I found it on the their website and made my own map.  I would also advise against going on a Sunday as the majority of stores in town are closed.
