Before pellet cooker days, I used to mix it with apple juice, worchestershire sauce, and hot sauce and use as a spritz on ribs and sometimes chicken breasts when "smoking" on my gas grill.
I have used it in a baked bean recipe that my wife likes, but I don't eat baked beans so all I can say is she likes it better with the liquid smoke than without.
If I make some sort of roast in the crock pot with liquids, I sometimes add some for a fake smokey flavor so it closer resembles that "smoked" flavor.
I have also used some in some jerky marinade I made in the dehydrator to again give it a fake smoke flavor.
