Date Night
« on: June 29, 2018, 09:26:50 PM »

Claire and I had a date night which actually began in the afternoon with wine, 2015 Carbernet Sauvignon from the Robert Craig Winery in NAPA Valley and appetizers consisting of prosciutto topped with cherry tomatoes and smoked mozzarella and shaved parmesan cheese. It was followed with a grilled salad consisting of romaine lettuce, slices of prosciutto, sliced tomato with Italian seasoning and finished with shaved parmesan cheese. The main entree was a dry aged porterhouse steak seasoned with salt, freshly cracked pepper, garlic, and fresh herbs. Dessert consisted of fresh peaches and strawberries marinated in spice rum served with fresh blueberries and strawberries topped with fresh whipped cream. It was a very pleasant evening of fine dining that I was told should become a monthly tradition.

This site provides a great mix of inspiration and jealousy for me.  That makes me hungry.

That sounds like a wonderful evening, and is priceless in creating warmth in the heart of your most precious partner in life. Everything looks marvelous!

I try to do similar, and attempt to make them unexpected surprises. It is one of the most rewarding experiences in my life to see the delighted light in the eyes of my sweetheart when she first sees the presentation.

I'm with Bentley on this (with the addition of tartar sauce and malt vinegar in separate containers).
From the looks of it, I'd fall asleep about half way thru the steak.  ::)

Yer a good man urnmor.
