Not a big Pot Pie fan but my wife would go nuts for that, looks really good and might have to try one, just might change my mind.

Not trying to hijack but I just read that Costco is going to open their own chicken production facility to raise the rotisserie chickens.
They lose 40-60 million dollars a year to sell them at 4,99.
Supposed to be open 2019 I think it said.

Hmm hard to believe they would loose 40-60 Million and still sell them.

I just read a few reports and it seem they could make an additional 40M+ if they raise their price to 5.99 or 6.99 per chicken.

Yeah, they've been losing money on them for years.  A year or so back they issued a press release saying that they are committed to maintaining that price as they feel that dual career families rely on them.

I periodically drive past the slaughtering facility construction site.  It's huge and makes visible progress.  There was some opposition to their building it at their chosen location.  Nearby residents were worried about the odor, strain on the water and sewage system and traffic.  Some were opposed because they felt that the slaughtering operation would result in the building of a concentration of poultry farming facilities that would add to pollution.

My wife and I just had one this week. We get three suppers out of it and some for the dog too.
Good, but a little bland until I put some  "Lea and Perrins" steak sauce on.

I got one of these and a rotisserie chicken today at Costco.  We (my wife and myself) will eat for a week of these monsters.  Can the pot pie be frozen?

I hope so.   I divided it into 1/3's and froze them.   Had one earlier this week.   Impressions:   Carrots were humungous.   Next time if there is one, will cook it then separate and freeze.   I love pot pies, SWMBO.....not so much.

The wife had to do this in the oven being it was to rainy, windy and cold to do it on the smoker.  It turned out pretty good.  As noted before it was bland and it was also dry.

Some hot sauce on top of it may have cured both of those problems ;)
