Hamburger BABY!!

Been trying to make cheaper cuts of beef tender with limited success.

New strategy:

I cooked 1 and  1/3 pounds of hamburger split into two "steaks".

Put some Lawry's  salt on them. Direct heat on the GMG.

They were tender and tasty.  :cool: :lick:

Are you a fan of the Salisbury steak?

Love em...I make a big batch and then freeze them to eat all winter.  Thanks for reminding me to do it.  Here is my recipe from my Dad.  I may put some pepper flakes in some of them next time.

5lbs hamburger
5lbs sausage
2-3 bell peppers diced fine
2-3 onions diced fine
6 eggs
8-12 oz bread crumbs
4-5 tbsps granulated garlic
3-5 tbsps black pepper
cup worcestershire sauce

use 1 cup per patty and sprinkle with smoked paprika
bake @ 350 degrees

I did meat loaf in one of these. Just used the center cross divider made 6 nice pieces. Bought mine at Dollar General for 10 bucks.
