Picked up some Costco pork chops yesterday (along with the roses for my wife)

Package of 8. Will cook 4 & freeze 4.   Have one on it’s side so you can see how thick they are

Wife made some stuffing. Stove Top jazzed up with apple, onion, celery & raisins

That is a beautiful cook with great presentation!

This next comment is aimed at the Pork Growers of American, what did you do to my once great pork chop...please bring back the pork chops of the 70's and early 80's!  Not a Pork Loin looking piece of meat with no fat OR flavor!

Yes.  The pork chops I had as a kid growing up in the 60’s & 70’s all had bones and WAAAAY more fat than these. Might not be the fault of the Pork Growers but rather the Costco butchers. These came just as you saw them. I did no trimming at all. Without the stuffing they did not have much flavor on their own.

That is why I don't buy Costco's pork chops.  They are too lean.  I bought a big pack once and every way they were cooked they were not very good.

I just had some sausage stuffed pork chops yesterday I got from a specialty meat market.  My local meat market sells the stuffing stuffed ones, but I have not tried them.  Your's look much better than what I had yesterday.

Thanks for sharing ZCZ.  Those chops look fantastic.  I was trying to think what to have for dinner tonight, you have now sealed the deal with pork chops.  Not sure about going all out with the stuffing tonight.

I wish I would have made it to Wegman's after Christmas.  They had whole pork loins for $0.99/#.  I could have cut them up just how you had them.  Looks good!

It is not even the external fat (which there was more of 40 years ago) but the intramuscular too.  I know they were not as healthy, but they had so much more flavor.  Man, a cookie sheet of Shake N Bake Pork Chops for dinner, those were the days...Them real thin ones too!

Only time I buy those is to make the Pork Loin Sandwich!
