Beale Street?
« on: April 25, 2019, 04:52:07 PM »

Anyone know this Beale Street model or have seen in real life? The couple sites I’ve seen it on are patio/pool websites. It’s on the Memphis site but any info other than this pic is password protected. Could this be the new Chinese model? It’s sub $2000 which is my price range but not knowing if the auger/fan/heat design is vastly different (although it’s the same Wi-Fi controller), then I’m not sure I’m willing to take the dive yet. The couple of sites selling it look like it’s 1-2 weeks delivery.

Here I thought you were asking about the actual street in Memphis.  Check with gtsum2 in a private message as he bought from a dealer in TX somewhere that has great pricing delivered anywhere in USA.  Several guys here have bought an Elite from the dealer without issue at a steal of a price.

I have to admit I was thinking the same thing.

Did a little more digging on Memphis Grills’ site and read that this model is a promo at participating dealers. “Free” gift of direct grilling insert, meat probe, insert genie tool and cover for this new model.

There is an online dealer is selling this model for $ 1,699.00.

Smoke, grill, bake, roast and sear
Convection oven cooking
180 to 550 degrees
Cooking surface 575 to 848 sq. in. (optional grate kit)
Cloud based WiFi to monitor and manage your meal from anywhere
12 lb pellet hopper capacity
Cabinet for storage space
Open flame option

As a Memphis grill owner I have to wonder if the company has decided to no longer emphasize their premium grill line.

My understanding is that the $1699 model is for stainless steel and porcelain coated model. The all stainless is promoted as $1999.

As someone who’s been window shopping for a pellet grill for almost 2 yrs (!) now, it does appear to me that this could fill in the gap between $1300-2300 grills and the very high end premium grills (if pricing does not change from what’s promoted).

Memphis apparently is shooting for delivery sometime in July. For the free stuff, you have to get your order in by end of May.

Also, they are not offering 304 stainless steel as option.  "Two models: Available in all 430 stainless steel or stainless and porcelain combination".  It is hard to tell from the few photos, but it looks like the hopper is on the side, implying the whole hopper, auger and firepot of the current Memphis line has been drastically changed.  Now looks similar to most side mounted hopper assembly designs.  As Memphis is not showing this model on their site, I am also guessing the Beale Street model is only being sold through distributors.

It actually is on their site, but you have to do some digging. It’s buried. The pic I put in the original post was a screenshot from their site.

Hmmm.  Dug all over that site, but could not find any reference.  Here is a photo from one of the online dealers showing a bit more of the inside.
Do you think that temp probe placement will be a problem? I can see myself hitting it as I move the food around LOL!

Looks like it’s officially on the site now. Still seems like lots of $$$ by the time you add extra warming rack, cover, genie tool, flame insert, meat probe, etc.

Bet it’s a great unit though!
