Seems like Bentley and maybe Kristin spend a lot of their time taking care of the property and gardens.  I need to start thinking about a retirement hobby.

Not a pollinator garden, a mini-meadow with wildflowers and clover which supports pollinators.

And the reason the ground in a lot of places is "fallow" was that we decided the garden was much too "lumpy" with big holes and divets. So, you were going to fill the whole area in between the berries and the asparagus with dirt and even out and plant grass and next year make new beds. But then the tractor took forever to get repaired and we missed the window for planting grass, so I went ahead with the watermelon, cantaloupe and acorn squash beds, and the peppers and tomatoes, but just let the rest try to grow grass.

We will start in the fall with evening the ground out and starting grass before the first frost.

Bent does all the mowing and weed whacking and helps me with the mulch.  I decide what to plant and buy and haul and usually plant most everything (he is a big help planting trees and some bushes).  I do the spraying of drives and paths and some beds and usually the pruning. When we don't have rain, we both do the watering .  He fertilizes the lawn and I do the beds and usually the veg garden. He spends more time and effort, and I spend more money! :pig:

From mid-March until about right now it is a lot of time.
