I am not so sure. Bama has not looked that great to me this year and their defense -- which once was awesome -- seems to have collapsed.  If I was an offensive player last night, I would have turned to my defensive teammates and said "We did our job with 41 points, what happened with you guys?"

LSU looked strong and confident.  I know, "on any given Saturday", but I am not sure Bama has it this year.  Just ask Bentley, he had to listen to me screaming at Saban all night!!!!

Bama should not have to worry if they can pull off the hard win today. They probably move up few spots unless Auburn passes them with there big time game win.

After 2 fat years and Bowl game wins over Houston & Arizona State, my Dogs will probably be at home this bowl season.  Maybe a wake up call for the underclass men.

Aren't they playing a girls junior high softball team?  There are times Saban should just be embarassed at who he schedules.

BIG day of college football.  The first quarter led me to believe that Ohio State and Michigan was going to be a good game, but then became sadly disallusioned.  The other early games were also a dud, but now watching Minnesota and Wisconsin -- good game so far.  Go Gophers!  Switching back and forth with the Bama-Auburn game, but not as excited about that one.  In honor of the rivalry games, a massive tray of nachos.  It was/is the only meal of the day -- tortilla chips, refried beans, combo of pepper jack and cheddar;  repeat; top with sour cream and homemade guac.It went in the oven for 15 minutes to melt the cheese and heat the beans and chips before the sour cream and guac was added.  Good eats!

I love Bama football, but I think it was good for them to lose.  Unfortunately, I don't think they will drop as far as they should in the rankings. They have not had a hard schedule this year, they are sloppy, and their defense is non-existent.  I always felt they embraced excellence, but in the last two years, I think they have begun to believe their press and embrace entitlement.  I hope it is a wake-up call and they get back to some fundamentals.

Nick has said it's harder to maintain a program than it is to build one.  This year will give him fuel for the fire.  He now has real competition for the top rated recruits all around him. That make his job more difficult as well as the staff turn over.  He is famous for being difficult to work for.

I agree, Oregon has one tall quarterback. My alumna plays in the lowly Lending Tree bowl.  :-[

That's a shame you didn't get to see the Rose Bowl as I felt it was one of the best bowl games of this season.

My goodness, 540 from Mayberry.  I see they are set to play UConn in 2021 (home) & 2022 (away), almost as far 432.  Not sure if we will be in Mayberry in 2022.  Have no idea where we will be in 2024.
