I was watching Alabama murder Duke yesterday and noticed Mike Stoops on the Bama sidelines. Googled and found that he had been hired as a defense consultant ?? in Jan, 2019.  A failed coach, a failed assistant coach, left OU in disgrace for his poor recruiting and coaching---now hired to assist at Alabama?  Are they crazy?  ???

Saban has helped a couple of other coaches recently as well. It worked out well for Lane Kiffin. Steve Sarkisian is currently OC at Alabama I believe. Both had failed miserable at previous coaching stops.  It is interesting.
Perhaps Sabin has a rehab program for failed coaches, or apprenticeship program.  Stoops might be there to get better training, and then list in his CV that he was an assistant coach at Alabama. That makes sense?  Teach an old dog new tricks? hmmm

Great game in Fresno tonight!

Minnesota wins back-to-back years with an Interception to seal it in the end!

Yeah, Fresno State has to may..."Look at Me"...players to be a winning team.  It is going to be a hard season for fans.  Good win for the Gophers to go 2 and 0.

Sooners 70 to 14 over South Dakota State.  SDS has a great quarterback, who was able to pass over 300 yds.  They will win games in their division this year.  Sooners looked good.  Hurts was great, but shared the honors this week.  Back up quarterbacks looked super as well.  Next year will be no problem in this position.  Next week at UCLA will be a bit more demanding.  So far so good. Boomer!

LSU is finally playing modern offense, but it looks like they gave up on defense.  I am very happy that we have college football, now it only summer would go away.

OK played South Dakota.
Not South Dakota St.
South Dakota St is #3 in FCS who the Gophers beat the weak prior in a tough game.
South Dakota is a weaker team.

UCLA sucks so far.

Sorry for the error. But my comments about SD were accurate. Well coached, good discipline and fine QB. Agree about UCLA but sometimes that is the kiss of death. So  will wait and see. Thanks for the correction.

I agree you don't want to overlook anyone but if you have a good team then they should beat the lesser teams. Just don't lose like Oregon did the first week. Hopefully the coaches learned something.

Congrats to LSU, the Tigers were just the better team tonight and played the better game.  Happy for Ed -- I have always liked him.  Plus, I hate USC and they must be just shaking their heads in disbelief that they let him go!!!

The bad thing about beating Bama is LSU may have to play them again and they will be wanting revenge just like 2011.

They  caught lightning in a bottle once, not sure they could do it again with Nick in charge.
