Waiting for the bus to take us to ship.  I am sure I will be less melancholy when I get back.

Are you starting on the East or West coast? Among my twenty plus cruises, several were through the Panama canal and the east to west canal trip was my second best, behind the Mediterranean. Have fun and don't drink too many tropical adult beverages.

Is it feasible to get members to help foot the bill? It’s a lunch for about 20 people, I can guarantee you 20 people would eat a PB&J one time for that.
In my opinion, it truly needs you and Kristin at the helm. Dang.

I completely agree and would gladly throw a few bones to keep it running and you two around. The members here (and the same people on the old site that shall not be called by name) have taught me so much about pellet grills, cooking, and so many other things.

Enjoy that trip!

I concur with those sentiments. I find that for me there is a sort of ebb and flow to posting patterns. Sometimes it seems I have a lot to say and I hope I'm not posting too often. Other times I can go for quite a while without posting much. However, even then I still appreciate being able to look and gleen ideas from others. While I have "lurked" in other forums for various things on-line, this is the only forum where I feel comfortable enough to actually post things. It is a healthy environment for good discussion on a number of topics. I sure have appreciated the work and dedication that goes into building and maintaining the site. I would be glad to contribute toward keeping the site ongoing.

I am afraid the site is irrelevant.  A few can't keep it going. Going to address the situation when we get home, but this may be the last year.  Or if someone wants to take it over and see that it run and paid for, they can have.  Pretty sure Kristin feels the same way!

I completely understand the desire to be relieved of obligations, even obligations that you enjoy.  If you would allow volunteers to cover the expenses you might still be tied to PF more than you want.

I'm hopeful that you two will continue posting as part of the general membership body if you completely step away from site ownership and management.  I've told you privately and now I'll say it publicly—you two have enriched my life more than you'll ever know (that's also true of the general membership) and I don't want it to end.

That's obviously my selfish perspective.

Hope you had a great vacation Bent.  Vacations are great, but there is something about coming home and getting in your own bed that is pretty good too.

Would like to thank Paul and Lew for doing the Moderation.  Have not heard from either yet so not sure if there was any drama, but I doubt it!  Thanks guys for holding down the fort!

Sorry Z, did not take one photo or video the whole trip!  Its all just memories for me these days!

Gonna try and get through the posts here and some other house keeping literally.  More tomorrow.

Glad to hear you are back!  Hope to see lots of pictures.

Thank you Lew and Paul for watching things on the site.  It was so nice to get away.

Met some nice folks and I was so fascinated by the new canal -- we got to see the big container ships enter and exit and were parallel with them for most of the canal.  I guess it is terrribly, but I was more excited by seeing that than being in the actual canal.  Those container ships are huge! Also got to travel a bit in Nicaragua and see the countryside, take a short boat ride on Lake Nicaragua, and visit Granda.  I learned more about that country than I ever knew because we had a great guide. We also took a tour of Cartagena in Colombia so got to see a few old Spanish Colonial towns and also very modern parts of Cartagena. We got off in Costa Rica and Mexico and just wandered around on our own, but the heat and humidity was intense and defeated us after about an hour.  Overall, a very nice and relaxing trip.
