Just had one an hour ago.  Will see what shakes out before I weigh in on how mine tasted.

I'm curious to hear thoughts on this too.  I have not had one yet.

I have only had Popeyes once, it was a bad experience from the start. Food as kind of okay although it was not hot/warm. I want to try popeyes again, there really are not any closer than 45 minutes or so.

I will say, off topic, that I do kind of like KFC Nashville Hot chicken.

Have never had their sandwich but I have partaken in their chicken and biscuits until I went to one of their franchises and got the most driest thighs I've ever had.   How do you get dry thighs?  These must have been sittin around forever under the heat lamp.  Haven't been back since.  At least not since I had a Carls Jr chicken tender basket.  That's the best fast food chicken ever.

I grew up on popeyes chicken and red beans.  The sandwich is on par with the restaurants that use real chicken breast. I love chicken sandwich, but none are worth waiting in line or the other nonsense that was reported.  I do really miss their onion rings and the super Popeyes on Veterans.

I've had about 6 or 7 of them.
The spicy is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had.

The first time my wife and I had these we both loved them.  The second time we still do.  My wife gets the spicy and even though she loves spicy food it is very hot to her.   But she still eats it.

We get Popeyes chicken several times a month to take home with us.  Now we get a chicken sandwich to eat on the way home.

I did not think there was a Popeyes in my neck of the woods. Come to find out there is one within 20 miles of where I live. I will check it out the next time I visit that area. It will be interesting to see if it is as good as advertised!

It is the most crunchiest of all the chicken sandwiches I have had and I do believe for the deep fried variety the best in that regard.  For me, as always with fast food chicken sandwiches, it lacked flavor.  I had the spicy and it had a little flavor in the sauce, but the actual chicken seemed devoid of it.  Glad I had one, but it will be a one off for me.

I have not tried one yet.  Not sure if there are many Popeyes around me.  However might look for one when I travel for work and give it a whirl.

What do you think of Chick-fil-A? I think there chicken is very flavorful even if it is all salt and msg. Haven't had Popeyes but Chick-fil-A is about a once of year treat for me. One original and one spicy, and I'm good until the next year.

I have had one and it was 2 years ago...I would be lying if I said I remember what it tasted like. If the choice is cheeseburger or chicken sandwich, I think you know which one I am gonna pick.  I just don eat chicken sandwiches!

I am the same way, but with breakfast sandwiches.  The local Chick-fil-A is packed with people getting something with chicken on it for breakfast every day.  I head over to Hardees for a real breakfast of sausage, egg and biscuit.  I think I have been in a Chick-fil-A two times and I have seen what the hype is.  I have tried Popeyes chicken sandwich and I liked it, but I most likely will never try one from Chick-fil-A.

My go to breakfast sandwich is from Burger King - croissant with ham, sausage, bacon, and cheese.  I'm not an egg fan so I have them skip that.

Hello,

I've had two of these sandwiches.  Both times my kids wanted to go there, and I was curious about them being as good as the lines made them seem to be.  We happened to go past Popeyes and there wasn't a line so I got one with the spicy sauce.  I like spicy sauce but found the sauce on the sandwich to be bland.  I was disappointed.  About two weeks later, the kids wanted to go back, and again there wasn't a line.  I got it without the sauce.  Really bad tasting sandwich.  Somehow the sauce that I found disappointing helped.  I'll never get another chicken sandwich from Popeyes.
