Not to hijack the tread, but I can get any number of sickening sweet 'bbq' sauces here in the PNW. But Dang, it gets old.

Maybe it's just where I'm at, but I'd love to see some suggestions for a more vinegary type of sauce.
Am I relegated to make up my own?  :help:

If I thin Kraft original it's with any cheap straight bourbon.
Preferably Kentucky Tavern

Get Billy Merrill of Holy Smoke to send you some of his.  Best truly pure vinegar "sauce" I have ever had and makes pulled pork edible!  You can PM him.

Add vinegar then.  I thin with apple cider vinegar and it is good. The internet is at your fingertips, order something in!

The Heinz Carolina is sorta like that.

I make my own when I am having a large gathering.  Occasionally I'll buy Open Pit and modify it.  My "go to" lately is Sweet Baby Ray's.

My favorite is not listed, and it's not available in the retail stores.
I really like the Cookshack Mild Sauce.

I do a little BBQ catering and the CS mild is really well received.

I do the same thing, often with a bit of apple juice as well. Works great for pork.

I like Stubb's a lot but my kids prefer Famous Dave's Rich and Sassy, so that's what I usually buy.

I stick with Stubbs or Rufus. Rufus Teague’s blazing hot is amazing. My son won’t use anything else.
