Beef Ribs
« on: August 21, 2020, 03:11:17 PM »

I had to pick up a few things at the store, so I went to Market Street here in Whiskey Flats.  I glanced in to the marked down meat section.  They had beef ribs cut into individual ribs.  They came three to package and were about a foot long.  They were marked 40 pct off so I got 6.78 ounces of beef ribs for just over $27.00.

I hope you meant pounds.  That'd be some mighty expensive ribs if not.  Let us know how the cook goes.  I have yet to master ribs with several abysmal tries.

Yes.  It should have been lbs.  Rancher Reserve, Black Angus and good marbling through out.  I have never seen them cut that long.

So are they the big beef back ribs they used to sell in Sparks, NV at the Nugget Rib Cook Off for $11?  Or are they just huge Short Ribs?  A 2lb beef back rib would be something I would like to see!

It just says beef ribs, but they have about 1 1/2 inch of meat on one end down to about 3/4 inch in the other.

I am hoping I can find some good beef ribs while in South Dakota.
