I just came home we have maybe 2 inches. So far. roads are pretty greasy. there was a lot of people out when I left at 10am but now not as many.

 Not sure what we are getting, I had heard 6-8 then 10 to 15 last was 18 - 24

The days of drama weather, ya gotta love it. I remember when you would go to bed get up to 5 or 6 inches of snow, go clean off the truck and shovel go to work then when you come home you have to do it all over again because it snowed another 5 inches. There was no hype and winter storm warnings or watches. It was a common occurrence a few times a month sometimes a week. Now 3 to 5 inches of snow is a huge event, close all the schools and stay home if you don't need to travel so the snow plows can keep the roads clear.

I am about 2200 FT above SL the top of the mountain up the road is 2800 ish I think. and about 30 miles south is Mt Davis the highest point in PA at 3200.

Then you see only hair, my head is hidden from view by it.  One of the disadvantages of having ALL of your hair is having ALL of your hair during Covid.

Call it whatever you want to call it.  This storm did not deliver the snowfall that was forecasted in my area.  I don't have totals yet, but I'm guessing maybe 6"-8".  The airport which is about 10 or so miles away reported 9.3" as of 1am.

Even in the 7 years we have been here, this is the 1st time I remember a freezing rain like this.  I am told it has happened since we have been here, but I do not recall it.  I have only seen this stuff in Movies!   Kind of pretty, but a couple of more hours and every branch on the River Birch's would have been snapped I believe!

Looks like we got more snow than you did. We did not get any ice tho. Ours is pretty much melted and gone today. We do get ice on the trees and shrubs in the winter here, but so far, none this time.

I have a large single-trunk river birch in my back yard.  That thing drops twigs all year long.  Some are as fat as a pool cue.  Ice storms are common in Omaha.  They probably contribute to the droppings.

I remember an ice storm back in '41 in Omaha.  I ice skated from home to the park pond several blocks away.  Everyone was an ice skater at early age. (I was 5). Now you would not let your child go on his own.  My brother age 12 was with me.

we only got maybe 10 inches. The guy that plows my driveway had me opened up and it was melting kind of nicely today.
