What was the liquid inside the stromboli?  Is that the grease from the meat or some sort of sauce?

 I put a bit of pizza sauce in, so it and the grease from the pepperoni, I usually put to much stuff in things when I make them.

We used to put some sauce in but found the bottom of the bread would always get soggy even with the slits open on top to let the steam out.  We have not made one for awhile.  I will have to add that to a list of dinner items.
