No cooking here.
Suitcases packed.
Then after church it's brunch with the kids and grandkids at my sons house in Holland. Early afternoon we are on the road for a trip to Mesa. Am planning on Springfield, IL for the first evening.
I'll keep my eye on the forum while gone.

Happy Easter to all and hope that each of you are blessed in a special way.

Springfield, you can see Homer and have a Cozy Dog.  Had one in 2010 after the Royal!

Wife scored a couple of butts at Meijer for 99c/lb., so that's the main thing I'm cooking!

By request of my son we are making wood fired pizzas on my Daniel Boone. Got the ingredients today at Trader Joe's. I'll be doing thick bacon, sausage, potatoes and egg dishes to order, along with breakfast burritos for breakfast. I'll be using my Blue Rhino Razor griddle.

I am in NW Arkansas now living in our motorhome until the new house is finished in 3 weeks.  I have my Traeger with me.  I asked my niece and SIL what they wanted and they want pulled pork.  So I will be getting up tomorrow around 3 AM to drive to my brother/sil home to get it started.  It will be a long day.

SMoke it today and heat it up tomorrow and take it easy on yourself.

Ham's were on sale for $1.19/lb.

I just picked up a 12.2lb. vacuum packed ham with a pull date of 6/21/21. 👍

Sunrise service is at 6:30 tomorrow morning and will be held outside and down by the lake in 32* weather. However there is no snow in the forecast. I have always thought anyone who gets up that early for church should have steak and eggs for breakfast. Since it will be outside and cold, I was looking to make something that would be quick and easy to eat. Opted for steak and eggs burrito wraps, with mushrooms, onions and cojack cheese.

My son's MIL is cooking a turkey, dressing and salad. We are bringing a hashbrown and cheese casserole dish. Will add a bottle or two of wine and DIL will bring the dessert. She is an amazing baker of sweet delights so I know we won't be disappointed.  For some reason, the holiday ham did not make it to the menu this year.  Will try to get a good pic of the table when we get there.

My plating skills are non-existent, but it tasted good!  Decided to forego the hash browns in favor of a second eggs Benedict (that counts as saving calories right? :pig:)
