Anytime you are ready Troop.
This one is longer, but if you watch it on the highest HD setting, I am getting the quality a little better.
We are cutting the trees around the dirt pond to open that land up and for firewood each year, we got nothing cut and split for seasoning for 2018-19, so we got a lot of cutting to do in the next 2 months...11 chords worth. You will see that area as the camera pand down...And the triangular are right before it, the trees on the left we will cut and Dennis who leases the land will have them come in and rip the stumps and they will plant it next year...no more wasted farm land.
LandscapeFrom what I know, soybeans naturally defoliate as the days shorten. The leaves started to turn about 4 weeks ago and by 2 weeks ago they were without leaves. The pods they dry pretty rapidly and the bean inside do the same. About as dry at harvest this year as I have seen in the last 4 years we have been here. If they are not under 20% moisture content they usually go in a dryer, and I doubt that these will have to have that done this year.
These fields are solely dependent on rain, so if it does not rain as much as it should. And this year was a prime example of that, the plant is not as big and the yields are down.
Perhaps we need to get on the horn some afternoon (after nappy time, of course) and go over some issues.
