Having my 97 year old Father in Law over for dinner today along with my wife’s oldest brother who is his care giver and her other brother and his wife. FIL loves Rib Eye steaks so the perfect treat for him.
Got these at Costco at almost $10/lb. but we’ll worth it to honor my wife’s dad (her mom passed away 10 years ago).

Seared the steaks at 600. The Memphis grills are awesome for high heat searing. About 2 1/2 - 3 minutes per side.

My Uncle Wayne will turn 98 in September...That is a lot of years to live and a lot of life to live!

Wow. The stories they must have about living through the Depression, 2 world wars, several other wars, changes in radio, TV, a computer, telephone, refrigerator, freezer, grills, cars, etc. Would be fun to just pick a different topic every day and talk about it with them.

One World War there Sparky! :pig: My Uncles dad (or GrandPa for me) was in WWI

You got me. I was too caught up in all of the changes that have taken place in almost a century.
