I use paprika.  Its not free but not very expensive.  It stores everything in the cloud and there is a version for IOS (iphone and ipads) and MacOSX (mac computers).  What is very good about it is that it has a browser and it will scrap all the recipe data from the website and put it in the program!  I really like it and think it works well.  Just my 2 cents.

This thread reminded me that I had several hundred recipes in emails from Traeger, Thermoworks, etc.  Tonight I started used the Clipper to put them into a new recipe notebook in One Note.  This is something that I have been wanting to do for years.  Thanks again for the tip.

After playing around, I found a different feature that I like better.  I was using the Clipper.  I think I am going to make pdf files and then import them into the notebook.  It seems to be better looking format than what the Clipper is bringing in.  So, basically will be re-doing what I did yesterday, but I am OK with that as I like the final outcome better.

Weird that on my chromebook, I cannot create subsections.  Having to use my desktop to do that which is OK. Will have to test to see if I can use the subsections on the chromebook before I get too far down that road.

I fully agree about Paprika. I have it on my Mac, and iPad. Worth the price.

Can you modify a recipe that you've imported from an Internet site?

Does it include a reference to the originating Internet site?

Yes you can modify any part of it. Sometimes I import from a sight and them I make my modifications before I start.
Other times I will edit the recipe after I have done a cook to change what I thought would make it taste better.
I also put my own picture of the finished cook in place of the one that got imported.

I also use and recommend Paprika.  Its not free but its cheaper than a recipe box and recipe cards so what's the complaint ;)?  Its awesome that I can scrape my favorite food blog and cooking sites on my MacBook and then still access well formatted recipe and ingredient lists on my iPhone.

Another great feature is after you have imported a recipe from the built in browser, it will create a shopping list that you can use and edit on your iPhone.

My recipes are stored in specific OneNote Tabs and Subtabs like [PG500] [Pork].  The web site shows Paprika's Tabbing but doesn't indicate if it may be changed by users.

Can I add to or otherwise change the tabbing?

(The web site doesn't address these things and they don't offer a trial download that perishes after a period.)

I used to use Big Oven, but have since switched to Recipe Keeper. Easy to add from Internet search without copy/paste. Not free, but well worth it to me as it updates all platforms as changes are made. It has been flawless so far.

The Notes app on iPhone/ipad/Mac is actually quite robust these days. I’ve been using it to track my cooks. It’s syncs across all iOS devices and the web.
