It is probably not too hard on Lottie because she has only been with us 5 days -- about the same amount of time if a sitter had had to take her and she will be permanent at her new place. And I try to keep in mind that GEB only has about 160 dogs a year it can place (in part because of a lack of puppy raisers) and a wait list of 400 people needing dogs, so I do want to do everything possible to help maximize the dogs raised. But boy, it sure feels a little tough today!
