I had this burger at the Eclipse Restaurant in the Moonrise Hotel on Delmar Ave in STL last night.  It was cooked a little more than I ordered, but very tasty.

Smoked Mushroom Burger $16
8 oz. grass fed beef patty. Baby green oak with lemon vinaigrette. Caramelized onion.
Smoked Gouda. Black garlic aioli. Smoked Ozark Forest mushrooms.

Looks good and I would probably want to try a taste, but looks like a lot of things going on there. I am a simple man.

Started a summer project with my son-in-law and his two boys.  We will eat a burger every Thursday in a different burger joint in Tulsa and then grade the results, and compare until we can determine where to get the best burger. Today we started at one of the oldest family owned burger joints.  Should be fun.

Sounds like a great evening out.

A local radio station does what they call BurgerMania, not sure how many weeks they run it but they go to a differnt restaurant/bar every week and the place offers their special burger for a cheap price that night, and you can go get it any time and pay full price, get your card stamped then wen the card is full you can go online and vote for the best one.

We are doing it for lunch.  Also, are doing the classic cheeseburger with onions, pickles, tomatoes and choice of condiment.  That way we are comparing apples to apples.  Will do the variations at a later date.
