I have absolutely no idea. I am sure of only two things -- I have to pay taxes and I am going to die someday. Maybe it will be in a car accident, or cancer, or a heart attack. I was once attacked on a busy, pedestrian filled street in downtown LA by a crazy person, so who knows, maybe one day I walk into a store and some crazed person comes in wth a gun and shoots me. I don't fly a lot anymore, but I may be the one on an unlucky flight.
Only God knows the time and manner of my death, so I really don't give a lot of thought to it or avoid activities because of it. But then I have also traveled to Iran, stood on the Kyber Pass, traveled the Karakoram Highway, traversed the Taklamakan Desert, hunted tigers on the backs of elephants in Nepal, hiked the Himalayas and watched polo in Gilgit Pakistan, been on safari in Africa where we were warned of the risk of many diseases, even the ones we could be vaccinated for (and some we couldn't). So maybe I have a higher tolerance for things which others may consider risky. Many of my friends thought my idea of vacation sounded like madness. Would have missed out on a lot of things if I had only focused on risk. Each of us is different. One size does not fit all.
