If you have run it and it looks like it is in solid working condition, a 30-35% discount for a year old pit is a nice bargain!

About $2000 to $2200

What Bentley said.

Check the diffuser as well if it's the original one piece. They warped and don't sit right, and another one, it you get the two piece diffuser is  $189. As a side note, I highly recommend getting the two piece regardless!

Given that it is holiday season I would also check out upcoming deals. Everyone seems to have a black Friday sale. That could make the price of a new one closer to the used price.

I would also recommend the 2 piece diffuser.

What is the build date, and does it have the competition cart?

It's the one piece but it might have the reinforcement to prevent warping due to the build date.  Need to ask Yoder if you have the serial #.

My old one peice was never warped over 3 years before I ordered the two piece.  The two piece is great for searing and not having to remove that heavy plate.

I had my YS640 for about 18 months and also never had a warping issue.

Asked my local Yoder dealer about Black Friday deals.  He said he’s never seen Yoder do any such thing.  ATBBQ does appear to sell them at a discount (1850 for a 640 comp) but you would have to pay $300 or so shipping if you’re not close enough to pick up.

I purchased mine from ATBBQ as I didn't have a local dealer at that time. Tough decision on supporting your local dealer, getting the best deal (ATBBQ), or going used. Go for what feels best to you and enjoy.

I think it's an OK deal. If it doesn't have the comp cart, I think it's a little too much.
I paid $1500 for a 2 year old ys640 with cart and cover. I know someone else who just paid $1600 for a newer YS640 comp cart.
I've also seen 5 yr old models without the cart go anywhere from $800-$1500. If it were me, I would probably be comfortable around $1200
Just my two cents.

Let us now what you do!

It’s not the comp cart. I’m thinking $1200 is more in line. Just need to convince my better half to pull the trigger.

I bought a year old 640 off of Craigslist for $900. It didn't have a cover. I guess I got a pretty good deal.
