My wife brought home Kirkland Thick Cut from Costco.  It is the best we have ever found from the standpoint of uniformity, taste, and how it cooks up.  And that includes comparison to Wrights Maple Thick and the other big names.  I looked at the label and found that it is made from European Pork Bellies.  Surprised?  What is most pleasing is that when fried it does not curl or twist and cooks uniformly.  Costco continues to amaze me in the quality of it's Kirkland brand.  Anyone else tried it?    :pig:

So what are folks cooking with bacon on National Bacon Day?  I am thinking about bacon wrapped baked potatoes.

This morning I made Texas toast with a layer of bacon with a fried egg on top & a layer of sautéd crab meat in garlic butter on top of that.

Isn't that a felony offense?  I thought Bacon and Egg sandwiches were protected. On the other hand, crab is one of my favorites.  Gonna try one or the other  asap.

Made a bacon and egg sandwich for lunch, today . . . OK, who am I fooling . . . you really couldn't see the egg with all the bacon I put on it, and barely taste it. But I did have yolk on my chin so I know it was in there.

Quadman I know you will take this comment as being from someone that just like to hear himself talk...5 ingredients I love separately, but as a whole unit, does not sound appealing to me!

I have a friend that said the same thing.

I asked him, do you like toast & he said yes
I asked him, do you like bacon & he said yes
I asked him, do you like eggs & he said yes
I asked him, do you like crab & he said yes

He asked me, do you like rib eye steak & I said yes
He asked me, do you like peanut butter & I said yes
He asked me, do you like peanut butter on your steak
I laughed & said I see your point.

Funny, cuz I like a bacon wrapped scallop...To me good crab is the finest seafood, even better then lobster or scallops (and they are great), and all it needs is to be is chilled for me to enjoy it...

If you can't see the cheese, it is not enough cheese.  IMO.  But otherwise looks good.
