What Items would you like to see a Product Review of?
« on: January 19, 2018, 06:52:12 PM »

I think at this point I would be more curious as to what Product Reviews folks would like to see?

At least I could write them and say here is the deal, we do this, we try and expose your product to a market that is interested in it, a small one, but a market...and we either send it back to you or we have a FREE raffle for it so one of our Members get it!  And they in turn hopefully give you even more exposure on the site!

I think the Vac sealer issue I can remedy in the next few days, it will be a little old, and it will be a lot more money then say a food saver, but it will not quit after 2 years either.  I will try and get it up soon!

So much for the next few days comment.  I will do a review, I swear I thought I did this on Pelletheads but I guess not.  Uuni, then Sharpener is going to take at LEAST 2 weeks when I get back...I will go out on a limb and say I will have a CG-15 review up by 1st of March!  Sorry as the saying goes...as busy as a one leg man in a...

I would love to see a rotisserie tested, but that would mean putting holes in my DB and I am not sure how I feel about that.

Put a cork in it Kristin.  :rotf:

There's any number of things you can plug the holes with that are readily available. Heck, you could use a rubber scientific stopper with a hole in it for a temperature probe.

That is a good idea even if you don't have the Roto...

Like a particular brand, or motor? Or just generally how a rotisserie would perform on your pellet pit?

No clue about brand or motors, I have just seen photos here on the site and thought "Would things be easier to cook?  Would they cook more evenly, or quicker?  Could I fit more in?"

I have thought if I got one of those ferris wheel looking things maybe it would make comp chicken better or cook more evenly.  Just questions by someone who doesn't really know how it would operate or what effect it would have on cooks.  And see shy folks out there, I don't mind posting that I don't have a clue and don't even know the correct names (I am sure it is not a ferris wheel) and I wonder how things would work!

I have a rotisserie for my Weber gasser and I love it. For that reason I've thought about putting one on my GMG DB. GMG says you don't need one because of the convection in the cook chamber. However I've noticed that on some cooks the bottom of the meat closest to the drip pan gets more done. A rotisserie would solve that.

That said, I'm with Kristen about not putting holes in my DB. I wouldn't rule it out though if an good kit came along.
