I don't have one. Had a look at their video and noticed the steel wheels and leg feet..That will end up leaving rust marks once the paint wears off.

It is an entry level pit that should give you a few years of service if properly maintained, and allow you to learn pellet cooking.

The price looks good.

I would definitely call the manufacturer discussing; replacement parts, warranty and any service related questions you may have. The answers should be taken with a grain of salt.  Lowes won't provide service or parts..They may elect to take the unit back if it has major problems shortly after the sale.

Hopefully someone with the 820 will chime in..  Good luck in your venture.

Over the plain PB 820, you get a colored lid, four lbs. more hopper capacity, a bottle opener, a solid bottom shelf, and a stainless side tray. All this for $100 more than a regular PB 820. IMO, not worth it. Not sure where you live, but if there is a Menards nearby, they usually have the plain one on sale for $400.

As for performance, they are simple machines, but they are fairly reliable, and cook well. I've had my 820 for a little over three years, with no rust on the outside(though the grease tray and flame deflector have, mainly because I don't cook on it enough).
