Memphis Pro Probe Question
« on: January 30, 2018, 11:30:19 AM »

I was wondering if the Memphis Pro works with probes that are not the official Memphis Grill probes. In other words, if I have a probe from something else (such as the Fireboard), could I use that probe directly with the Memphis Pro instead of buying new probes.
Thanks!

If the end of the probe that goes in the jack is the same diameter and length and configuration it might work.  Why not just use the one that came with the grill?  I have not used mine in quite some time.  Easier for me to just us a hand held.

I am waiting for my grill to arrive so I can't test it myself yet (it is going to be a long 2 weeks or so)!  I plan to use the probe that came with the grill- I am just curious if I will be able to use the probes I already own in the other 2 ports.

Your pit comes with ONE probe.. It's a 1,000 ohm RTD probe. Real H D.Should last a long time if properly taken care of.

If you don't like your new pit, my Pro needs a brother. That will never happen. ;)

Canadian John- Thanks for your offer but I agree with your “that will never happen” sentiment.  ;)

Have fun peeling off the protective plastic on the stainless steel.  Be sure to warm it up a bit first.

I have heard that peeling the protective plastic is a lot of fun.  Lucky for me, my dealer included free assembly so I guess they get to have the fun peeling the plastic!

You may want to confirm that with your dealer because you do not need to remove the plastic to assemble.
