How Do You Serve Pulled Pork?
« on: March 08, 2018, 10:02:02 AM »

We typically serve our pulled pork as sandwiches and the leftovers as burritos or tacos.  We need some good ideas for alternatives.  How do you serve pulled pork, initially and leftovers?

A photo is welcome.

Same as you. I serve as sandwiches and then use as a meat in tacos, burritos, nachos, and as a pizza topping.

Usually sammies at first, then use in Frittatas, like to just brown in the skillet to get it more crispy, sometimes add some shredded hash browns and mix together and brown. warm up some and into a tortilla with a good crunchy pickle spear some cheese and yellow mustard. Pizza.

My favorite dish with pulled pork is Posole. As a matter of fact, I'm making a large pot tonight for company.  :lick:

Make a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, cheese, grilled onions, grilled peppers and the pork.  Pour some chili verde over the top.  Yum...

Same here - that's usually what we do with it. I like red, but green is my favorite. Lately have been making my own hominy for it as well.

Also use pulled pork in garlic noodles. And after trying Rendezvous Pulled Pork nachos in Memphis, made some of those as well and they are excellent.

Left over PP.  Put some in a smallish frying pan with onions and diced/sliced Japs.  Once you know a crust is forming on the bottom, add cheese slices to the top and cover.  Nice time to add a bit of apple juice and BBQ sauce to steam.  When a nice crust has formed, slide onto a bun with a fat onion slice on the bottom.

OMG....   :P

May as well through some grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms in their too and make a pulled pork cheesesteak.  Love that idea.

I have some PP in the freezer which I am going to try in chili the next time I make chili.  Seen others who have and sounds pretty yummy to me.
