Woodwind cooking grate - 1 piece or 2 piece?
« on: March 09, 2018, 11:15:59 AM »

I watched a lot of youtube videos prior to purchasing my Woodwind. I noticed my grill came with a 2-piece cooking grate but thought it would be a 1 piece like the videos I saw.

Somehow I was disappointed although I can't really think of a downside. Did others get a 1 piece grate? Should it even matter? I don't really see a benefit to a single grate though as there is no function enhanced by being able to remove 1 side or the other.

There are a lot of potential benefits, you can run half GrillGrates half stock, half cast iron, half griddle, etc. Maybe camp chef has come out with recent new half width accessories? Plus, the half grates are probably easier to get in and out.

Mine is one piece but I would have been happy with a two piece.
