  • I came across this company over the weekend.  Gator Pits is out of Texas, and mostly makes stick burners, but they do make pellet grills as well.  They use the pellet pro controller for their pits.  They are made from 1/4" thick steel and their 20x36 pit weighs almost 400 pounds.

  •  Extreme heavy duty with a matching price tag.. Should hold heat well and last many decades.

  • I have the 2436PC, it is great for BBQ, smoking, it isn’t really designed for searing or grilling. I’ve run it at 325F to do a turkey. Haven’t had a need to go any higher but it will. Mostly do pork and brisket with it. Very well made and built like a tank.

  • I put a link to a video on youtube about how they make their pits.  I really like the pride they put into their workmanship there.

  • Ritch is top notch. When I asked him to build my 2436 he wasn’t building that size yet. He didn’t hesitate and built exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be keeping this one. As many as he’s sold since, I wish I was getting commission. lol

The reason I got this one was for all the room inside. Just what the doctor ordered for me.

  • Great pits, although I'm not sure I have the patience to wait more than a year for my pit..lol.
