Ok I just got and assembled my rec tech Bull.  I named it “Grillzilla”.
My question is: I have always used my Weber under the overhang on my deck. Is it safe to do so with my pellet grill?   The overhang is 10’ above and 5’6” out with a 1’ bulkhead at the 5’ our mark.
Any advice?

I like the name! You could have some smoke stain issues on the ceiling after many years of cooks, but I think you will be fine.  Nothing a little soap and water clean up wouldn't cure.

Smoke stain is the only thing I could see. Just power wash the siding and gutters and you should be fine. As long as you have it far enough away from the house itself for heat purposes.

 The smoke from a pellet pit can be quite dirty; smoke, ash and oil/fat vapours. Due to the fan, there is a lot more of it than is produced by a charcoal or gas pit.

These smoke deposits may be hard to remove, especially if not dealt with in the short term. Cold weather accelerates the problem..

I would keep an eve on things making sure the build up doesn't get too advanced. The build-up is slow so don't expect to see much in the way of accumulations in the very near future.  It may not even be a

problem depending on air flow around the pit..

I have a large back porch that is roof covered, I store my GS under it and roll it out onto the uncovered area to cook.  However, in the rain, or snow, I often fire up the pit and keep it under the porch roof. That is not very often. No problems so far, and very little soot, since the prevailing winds usually carry the smoke away. I will take a closer look at the ceiling after the comments from others.
Would be nice if you had a pad to roll yours out on for the low slow cooks.

Just looked at my porch ceiling.  Looks clean to me as well.

I also have mine on an area of my deck that I cover with a retractable fabric awning, and after two year of use under the awning no issue so far.
