Brisket and pork shoulders at kroger
« on: September 12, 2018, 10:38:55 AM »

Kroger's latest ad has packers on sale for 1.99lb.  I don't know if it's all Krogers but my local Kroger also had bone-in shoulders for .88lb.

I would too.  Unfortunately all 20 or so Krogers in the Raleigh/Durham area closed this summer.  They pulled out of this market.

Same as in Charlotte.

The Kroger stores (Fry's) here in AZ do not have those prices either.  :'(

Funny as it seems I see Kroger brands in Food Lion, but no deals like this.

Kroger (Fred Meyer) in the PNW doesn't have anything like this.  We go grocery shopping there every Sunday.  They normally have one brisket packer.   If I recall correctly last week's was $6.99 a lb.  I'm Cash n Carry and Costco for brisket.  Safeway for pork shoulder.    Freddy's does a fine job in halibut, tri tip, chicken, but not the best pricing for brisket and pork.

Keep watching, the Fry`s in the West valley had shoulders for .99 yesterday.  The sale prices rotate around the valley every week.

My freezer is too full, thanks Costco & Sam's.    ::)

I picked up two packers and two shoulders in TN at those prices two weeks ago at Kroger.  I think the sale has ended now, but haven't checked lately.

They just had a Fareway meat market just opened up in the area. Fareway is an Iowa based grocery chain. They have like 14 different kinds of brats and wide selection. I thought it was going to be more of wholesale type store. Either way I picked up some meaty beef short ribs for $6/lb. These are bigger tan what I have seen at Sam's club. May end up going back and getting a few more packs.  They also carry Traeger and Lumberjack pellets.
