US Foods Beef Ribs Sale

If anyone is near a US Foods, I just received an email saying they have Angus Beef Bone-In Short Ribs for sale. AKA Dinosaur Bones

I am going to assume that is National Beef Black Canyon cattle?  If so, my favorite for Brisket, wish I could get a shot a trying their Short Ribs!

US Foods store, 40 Fort Lewis Blvd, Salem, VA 24153...170 miles away!  Par for the course!  And Lew has one about 20 miles from him!

Are the US Foods locations back on the east coast 'normal' walk-in stores?

Asking as I had never heard of them and after finding they have a location under 10 miles away, I was very excited until I discovered it is a distribution center and not a walk-in store.

Sigh.

Can anyone buy from them?  I will be close to one on October 7th which is the day the sale will be over.

BTW, did you see the news about a car explosion in Allentown.  That was about 4-5 blocks from where we had lunch at Bell Hall and my wife said she felt the explosion at my house.

Yes US Foods doesn't require a membership or business license. At least the one I go to doesn't.

Might be worth a call!  I did not see anything on the boom!  Was it accident or some type of nefarious plot?

ATF, FBI, State Police, local police have been investigating the scene since Saturday night.  They had a press conference today and provided names of the 3 deceased.  Expect to provide public more details in next day or two but does not appear to be any type of terrorism.  It was on Good Morning America this morning.

I am in Chicago this week so probably won't get to checkout US Foods this week.  May drive by one day and see if they have a small store for the public.

I think the one I was checking into at Montgomery, AL is a distribution center also.

I found a Chef's Store a hour away in Mobile, AL, but their website says to join I would have to own a business.  :(
