Boneless Ribeyes On Sale
« on: October 07, 2018, 12:01:43 PM »

At my local grocery store sometimes when boneless ribeyes go on sale, they put out the ribs.  Picked up a couple of packages.  While I had the smoker on, I figured I'd try a meatloaf too.  We had the ribs for dinner last night and they were very good.  Have a bunch for leftovers.  Haven't tried the meatloaf yet.  I used my favorite Heinz 57 Chili/brown sugar/mustard powder glaze applied in the last 1/2 hour.

It appears that there's plenty of meat on those ribs.  They look great.

That meatloaf glaze is now in my recipe file, unfinished.  It needs the quantities for each ingredient.  Would you consider posting it in the recipe section?

Great looking food!  I’ve been wanting to try smoked meatloaf but haven’t gotten around to it. Maybe I should take your lead and just throw one on there when I happen to be using the smoker!

That's kinda how it went down.  I said to my wife, "with all this real estate available on the smoker, it's silly just to cook the ribs."  Ribs went on top and dripped their goodness onto the meatloaf.   :)

Tried the meatloaf and was pretty good.  Next one I'll probably throw some rub in for flavor.  I only thought of rub 1st time around after the mixture was salted, so that nixed the rub for that batch.

Would have tasted more "barbecuey" if it had some rub in it, and perhaps on it.  Still tasty, though.
