It depends on whether I am in the North or the South for that day.

Our sides are mashed potatoes, sweet potato with pecans, peas, green beans with mushrooms, asparagus, broccoli, corn, bread stuffing, gravy, cranberry bread, cranberry sauce, pumpkin bread and or muffins.

Now desserts are apple pie, mince pie, cheese cake, lemon meringue pie, oatmeal cookies and chocolate chip cookies.

Lattes, espresso, dark coffee and a fine Port to finish the meal and of course a long nap to sleep it off.

Happy Thanksgiving

My favorites are corn bread dressing with gravy and coconut pie.  I will eat the other stuff, but these two items are what I look for and want the most.

Stuffing, Mashed potatoes/gravy, rolls, cranberry salad, corn & usually 2-3 pies, (cherry, pumpkin & pecan).
My mother in law used to make oyster dressing that was out of this world but my wife can't make it right so that is one of the things I miss bad.

Like Yorkdude, we have been adding a cranberry salad along with cranberry sauce... normally referred to as cranberry walnut relish on our recipe I believe.  I like this a lot.

I always look forward to the mashed potatoes/gravy, veggies like corn/green beans (not green bean casserole for me), and rolls with butter.

Dressing (not "stuffing" - I bake it separately) with onions, celery, mushrooms, and turkey trimmings
Noodles (preferably homemade)
Sweet potato casserole (topped with brown sugar/pecan mixture)
Green bean casserole (my daughter's contribution - her favorite)
Potatoes, either mashed or scalloped
Homemade rolls
Various salads

In our family no gathering is complete without red jello with sliced bananas an whipped cream on top. Ambrosia fruit salad and/or frozen fruit salad is also mandated to be included in holiday meals.

Appreciate Members taking the time to share, please put down all you want...know that I may not consider a side what you do, it is not personal...like bread and gravy...just a quirk I am sure.

Dressing, mashed taters, cranberry salad, rolls, corn, honestly, there's more stuff but I prefer to concentrate on the essentials, like the sage dressing w/gravy.

More corn then I would have imagined!

Growing up we were the duel potato table, peas, cranberry, stuffing, usually sage once in awhile oyster, sometimes corn bread dressing.  Rolls and gravy! I don't remember salad at Thanksgiving, but it was probably there.

Stuffing and dressing, I would rather mine baked in a pan, mashed taters, Corn, growing up it was dried corn, beans, not for me, where we are going there will need to be stuffing balls, macaroni salad, yams, and more stuff that probably won't get eaten, we have turkey, ham and taters. Oh yes they want 2 cans of cranberry sauce. Not sure why.
