Who's getting their GMG ready for a turkey? I am! Mine is already in the brine, I'm planning to spatch it.  Can't wait to hear others plans.

I will be doing a 20 pounder for the neighborhood Thanksgiving dinner.  The dry brine is on it and I will be up early Turkey day to put it on the smoker.

Let us know how it turns out. I've spatched a few chickens and have been impressed with the outcome. I have a tailgate on Saturday and would like to do a Honeysuckle turkey breast, but seems my loaded potato cheese soup has garnered more votes. :( :(

I did one last year and it turned out great.  This year will not happen.  I am a couple weeks post op on my shoulder and don't think I could wrestle one around with my good arm without it ending up on the ground, so we are going to my parents house instead of them coming over.  I think I might do a breast this weekend though, that is still manageable.

I will cook a turkey breast, small ham, sausage, yams, green bean casserole and cookies in my JB.  I hope it all works out...

I'm doing two 14-pounders; one spatchcocked (my version) in the pit and one in a countertop roaster.

You have a good looking bird also.  I see your dog was wanting some just like our Yorkie was.  She loves turkey or everything I cook on the smoker.

I cooked two birds, one 23 pounder that I parted out and an 11 pounder cooked whole. They both came out excellent.
