Hello from SUNNY Sequim, Wa
« on: December 12, 2018, 12:01:18 AM »

I was a member over at pellet heads for A couple years
But haven’t really been on forms much lately
I found this one while I was trying to do some research on new grills

I had a Traeger Jr. (BBQ055) for about four years, and it treated me really well
This past summer I get the opportunity to pick up an old 124 professional so I sold my little Jr.

I’m really wanting something even bigger (but I’ll likely try and keep this classic pit)

I’ve learned a lot about cooking a pellet Grill over the last few years
My father-in-law has a big Tex BBQ 075
My church has two sawtooth grillsGrills and a big Tex
And I’ve got quite a few hours working with all of them

oh yeah,
Cosmopolis is down near Gray's harbor,   right
that area is very wet

I'm in Sequim,
it's in the Olympic RainShadow

these locations receive 25 inches of rain or less per year. The “epicenter” of the rain shadow is a matter of debate, but it is likely somewhere to the north east of the town of Sequim, and only receives about 13” of rain per year, about the same as relatively dry cities like Los Angeles, or Salt Lake City.

got a little stainless work added
(also replaced all 4 firepots with stainless 9 hole units, and added some 3/8" sheet steel to the tops of the heat deflectors)

next is a paint job  (maybe ordering some stainless sheeting to make new lids as well  (may do one for my 124 as well)
we also have a 3,000 watt inverter and an RV battery hooked up here for testing
